insanely overdue and for that i'm deeply sorry, *Rebelshade, i feel horrible 
this has actually been done for....awhile, but, as usual, life got in the way and amidst packing my belongings this piece ended up on a stored-away hard drive. i recovered it, cleaned it up, and here it is.
i can absolutely add more detail, but you mentioned not adding too much since it is a tattoo after all. here's the base layers and there's lots of places to go from here, it's up to you.

It came out lovely, and don't worry about it being late. It's not like I've been the best at remembering this myself. ShadeOfHeaven makes a good point about the lines, and I'm worried about the coloring. Unless the artist did it more like how my cross/pawprint is done with more shading than full color. I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to just give the tattoo artist the lines and let them shade it in as best they think?
